On the wave of the #MeToo movement, grievances about one of the pitfalls of tipped wage policies are gaining visibility.  The connection between the two may not seem immediately apparent to most outside the restaurant industry, but it's easy to understand and difficult to disagree with.  When a server is dependent on tips for essential income, they may often find themselves making tough choices between tolerating harassment or foregoing needed cash.
